Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee drilling operations to ensure safe and efficient well construction.
- Manage drilling crew and contractors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor drilling parameters and make real-time decisions to optimize drilling performance.
- Participate in well planning and design processes, including casing design and bit selection.
- Conduct regular inspections of drilling equipment to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols on the drilling rig.
- Prepare drilling reports and documentation for management and regulatory agencies.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to improve drilling operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in drilling operations
- Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, tools, and equipment
- Previous experience supervising drilling crews or teams
- Valid certifications in well control and drilling safety procedures
